This is affirmed to be the last will of Katherine Cain als Mcylrea, who committed her soul to God and body to Christian burial. Item to the poor a sheep and if her son William Cain pleases some barley. To Jony McYlrea her brother's daughter a yard of fine linen or a kerchief. Item to her grandson William Cain her part of the sheep which they had betwixt them Item to her daughter-in-law William Cain’s wife all her shaped clothes linen and woollen And lastly she constituted her abovesaid son William Cain sole executor of all the rest of her goods moveable & immoveable whatsoever.

- No information as to her parents, or who she married but most likely she married a William Cain who presumably was already dead
- Could she be the daughter of John McYlrea (d1654) and Ellin McYlrea als Bell (d1682) who had children Thomas & Catherin born in the 1640s?
- Could the Jony mentioned in this will be the young woman who died in 1703 in Rushen, the wife of Henry Waterson?
- There is much about the Malew Mylreas of the 1600s and early 1700s that does not hang together so extreme caution must be exercised
